Jewella Ave. where the shooting occurred.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was identified as 34-year-old Ricky Goldsmith, who had been shot once in the shoulder. He was taken to LSU Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Police continue to search for the gunman.<\/p>\n<p>KSLA News reports:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Goldsmith, who works for Union Pacific Railroad, told detectives he was working on the tracks near E. Jewella when a man came up and tried to rob him. The two men started struggling, and that&#8217;s when Goldsmith was shot.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the gunman ran from the scene, but left his weapon behind.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is about 5&#8217;10&#8221; tall, weighs about 160 lbs., and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt.
