KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two Gulf and Ohio railroad cars containing ethanol derailed in North Knoxville Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred on Friday morning, October 12, at 220 Heiskell Avenue at the site of the old Coster Shop, close to I-275 in North Knoxville.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews, who were called to the scene said there was a minor leak, but said no one was in danger.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n

Knoxville Fire Department Assistant Chief Brent Seymour said:<\/p>\n

“We just come in and make sure there’s no fire or other hazard. Once we deem that safe, the railroad brings their crews in to do what they need to do.”<\/p>\n

The incident remains under investigation at this time by the railroad company.<\/p>\n
