HAMILTON, OH – A CSX train derailed in Hamilton, OH on July 5, 2013 causing some traffic delays. Hamilton is located in Butler County, Ohio in the southwestern part of the state, about 35 miles north of Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

The mishap occurred around 8:15 p.m. on July 5th, when two rail cars of a CSX train jumped the tracks, blocking the intersections of several streets. The following streets were blocked by the derailment: Walnut Street, Front Street, Hanover Street, Martin Luther King Blvd plus 2nd, 3rd and 4th Streets.<\/p>\n

Officials said that there were no injuries to any railroad workers and no hazardous materials were involved. According to WKRC Local 12, the two cars were empty flat cars and luckily did not cause any damage. The article also said that all of the intersections were cleared by 9:30 a.m. the next morning on July 6th except for Walnut St.<\/p>\n

The cause of the derailment was not know, but remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
